About Us

by Marlene Voss

Frontier Finance Hub is built for people who don’t live anywhere near a bank branch, or whose closest one shut its doors years ago. We cover the everyday money questions that mainstream financial sites tend to skip over: how to bank when the nearest teller is an hour away, how to handle cash-heavy work and irregular pay, what to do when your credit union merges or disappears, and how to make sense of online banking when your internet connection is spotty at best.

Most financial advice out there assumes you live in a city, have three grocery chains to choose from, and can walk to a branch on your lunch break. That’s not the reality for a lot of small-town and rural America, and it’s not the reality we write for. Our goal is to give practical, plain-language information to people who’ve been left out of that conversation.

Everything here is general information, not personalized financial, legal, or tax advice. We don’t know your specific situation, your local banks, or your state’s rules, so before making a big financial decision, talk to a professional or institution who does.
